I took my BA hons in Fine Art at Bath College of Higher Education, where I specialised in printmaking.
I moved to Scotland in '92 and since then have been working in various media including printmaking and textiles. Over the last 5 years I have been working in mixed media, exhibiting in mixed and solo shows throughout the uk but mainly in Scotland. I have undertaken various commissions including a Lourdes pilgrimage banner for the Diocese of Edinburgh and St Andrews

I have always been inspired by the textures, colours and shapes found in nature and over the years this has led me to the semi-abstract kind of work I now produce. I love working in mixed media, using anything from coloured tissue to broken up sea-shells, as a surface to paint on. Although most of my paintings begin from a sketch, I find that working in mixed media often leads to unexpected results which can take the painting in a new direction.
