Autumn Leaves Make Me Feel Like Dancing
medium: Mixed Media on Box Canvas
size: 39" x 20 "
This original mixed media painting was inspired by African art and wall painting. I have used this kind of abstraction in the past but this time I have worked to create texture and have tried to give the canvas an aged and leather look. I cannot remember ever working on a single painting for so long as this one. It was created using layers of paint each layer being fixed with acrylic gel then subsequent layers added and in places allowing the underlying colours to show through.

Crossword
medium: Acrylic on Canvas Board and Framed.
size: 16" x 20"
This original Mixed Media Artwork was painted using acrylic paint and a number of things to create texture such as tissue paper and texture paste. The painting was treated so that it will retain its freshness and colour. As a life long lover of crosswords this painted played with my love of words and thoughts and philosophy. On the first level it hints at a crossword puzzle and the words that may have been used in the answer boxes. On a second level the words used are of games and angry,

I Don't Like Mondays
medium: Acrylic on Acrylic Paper and Mounted
size: 16' x 20
I had been thinking about the Mondays of my youth. The school days! After a good weekend remembering how terrible it was to have to go back into school on Monday. It was after all a Monday, and for me so far not a good one. So I headed to my painting space and poured some of my favourite colours and painted. I had been thinking about Mondays, the first day back at school after a good weekend. Then there were the times when I spent the summer holidays with my Gran. Monday was her day to have

Summer Comes The Summer Goes
medium: Acrylic on Canvas Board
size: 16 x 20
This original Mixed Media Abstract artwork is yet another venture for me. For the first time I have included original poetry within the work. I spent much time working on how r to do this. The painting also uses a great many ways to create texture using tissue paper and modelling paste. The artwork takes the words of the poems and creates in picture the themes and thoughts creating a work that will create discussion and enhance any space.

The Journey
medium: Acrylic on Canvas Board
size: 16x20
The coming of summer and the sights and sounds of working in my allotment inspired this original Abstract Art. Summer is also a time when we dream of future holidays and time away from home. I hope this abstract and its sub title achieves both of these thoughts. It is a very busy abstract but then this was painted at a time when gardens and gardeners were all busy working. Allotments have a very haphazard way about the and I have tried to capture that feeling and mood in what I hope is a cheerfu

Thoughts of Summer and Happy days
medium: Acrylic on Canvas
size: 16 x20
This is another picture where I attempt to catch the atmosphere and mood of some of those places we often happen across when we least expect it. Little havens of peace and calm and yet so often in the heart of a bustling city.

of Summer and Peace
medium: Acrylic on Canvas
size: 16
We all have those times when we find ourselves lost in the atmosphere of a place and the people, though strangers add to the feeling. This painting is about just such a moment. It does however attempt to capture the mood and the atmosphere rather than the actuality of the moment.

Waters Run Deep
medium: Acrylic on Canvas Board
size: 16
A return to one of my favourite palettes of colours. This painting was the end result of listening to some of my favourite music and thinking and giving thanks for the many friends I have. I love painting abstracts that attempt to express feeling rather than objectivity and I hope that this does that but also tells a story for each viewer.

The Tempest
medium: Mixed Media, Acrylic, Sand,Plaster
size: 12x20
This painting was a new venture in texture for me. I have incorporated into this painting a variety of ways of creating texture some completely new for me. This of course means that every painting will be a one off, unique.

And The Earth Said Peace
medium: Acrylic on Canvas Board
size: 16x20
This is a similar painting I did that sold within days of my painting it. It is a theme that I have enjoyed playing with having painted in now in three different palettes and varying the number of people. I do not want to say too much about this painting because I am aware that the story it tells is different for each and every viewer, so I leave it to tell its own story.
