This original mixed media painting was inspired by African art and wall painting. I have used this kind of abstraction in the past but this time I have worked to create texture and have tried to give the canvas an aged and leather look. I cannot remember ever working on a single painting for so long as this one. It was created using layers of paint each layer being fixed with acrylic gel then subsequent layers added and in places allowing the underlying colours to show through. |

This original Mixed Media Artwork was painted using acrylic paint and a number of things to create texture such as tissue paper and texture paste. The painting was treated so that it will retain its freshness and colour. As a life long lover of crosswords this painted played with my love of words and thoughts and philosophy. I had been thinking about the Mondays of my youth. The school days! After a good weekend remembering how terrible it was to have to go back into school on Monday. This original Mixed Media Abstract artwork is yet another venture for me. For the first time I have included original poetry within the work. I spent much time working on how r to do this. The painting also uses a great many ways to create texture using tissue paper and modelling paste. The artwork takes the words of the poems and creates in picture the themes and thoughts creating a work that will create discussion and enhance any space. |

The coming of summer and the sights and sounds of working in my allotment inspired this original Abstract Art. Summer is also a time when we dream of future holidays and time away from home. We all have those times when we find ourselves lost in the atmosphere of a place and the people, though strangers add to the feeling. This painting is about just such a moment. It does however attempt to capture the mood and the atmosphere rather than the actuality of the moment. |

I love painting abstracts that attempt to express feeling rather than objectivity and I hope that this does that but also tells a story for each viewer. |

This is a similar painting I did that sold within days of my painting it. It is a theme that I have enjoyed playing with having painted in now in three different palettes and varying the number of people. I do not want to say too much about this painting because I am aware that the story it tells is different for each and every viewer, so I leave it to tell its own story. |
