How
does ZeroOneArt differ from other art websites?
ZeroOneArt
specialises in original art and focuses on the artists that
create it.
You
can sometimes find reproduction prints of the original work
too. These are often of a limited-edition range.
All
work for sale at ZeroOneArt is available to buy on a commission-free
basis.
What
does that mean?
It means ZeroOneArt does not take a percentage from each
artist when they sell. Therefore the artist does not have
to make up for their loss of earnings due to (often) extortionate
commission fees.
So
what does commission-free sales mean for you?
It means you win too! The artists do not have to over-inflate
their prices to cover any commission-fees and you get a better
deal on original art.
Return
and get to know the artists - galleries are updated frequently
with new work
The
artists here, have selected carefully, each a display of 6
images. This isn't all you will see of their portfolio though.
Because if you return here regularly, as many of our visitors
do, you'll find the artists update their galleries frequently
with new pieces.
And
so as you return, you'll discover new work by the artists
you're already getting to know.
The
new art on display can be newly
created work, or perhaps an older piece from the artist's
earlier, developing style.
Whatever
you discover here, we think you'll find yourself falling in
love with the originality and innovation oozing from these
galleries!
You
may even feel compelled to walk away with something you can't
live without!

How
do I buy artwork featured at ZeroOneArt?
At ZeroOneArt you buy direct from the
artist.
Because we don't take commission, the artist does not have
to make up for this loss, meaning the saving is passed to
you the buyer!
We
provide each individual artist with their own Purchasing Info
section. Here you'll find details of how to buy, delivery
options, other related info and also the artist's own returns-policy.
If something here has grabbed your attention and you want
to find out how to buy, click the shopping trolley icon and
you'll find purchasing information specific to the artist
you're viewing.
If
you've got any questions, however small, please contact the
artist directly via the mail icon.
We
do recommend that you contact the artist and discuss the piece
that you're interested in. He or she will be pleased to receive
any kind of feedback about the art work you like, and will
be happy to discuss with you, any queries, requests or general
enquiries you might have.

(should the info not already be provided)...
•
What are the dimensions of the piece?
•
How
much is the postage and packing (and will the delivery be
insured?)
•
If
it's a picture, is it framed or unframed - will it need framing?
•
Is
the picture a print or the original?
•
If
it's a limited edition, how many have been printed / made?
•
What
is your returns policy?
And...
remember, it might be worth your while to make the artist
an offer. You never know!

What
are the options to buy securely online?
Most
artists at ZeroOneArt are using either PayPal or Google Checkout
as their secure payment processor.
Both
Google Checkout and PayPal allow the artists to add buy-now
buttons alongside artwork. These buttons will take you directly
to the secure payment processor's site providing a safe channel
to buy there and then, with
any major debit or credit card.
The
transaction is handled securely and professionally by the
payment processor and the artist does not see your card or
bank details.
During
your transaction you'll have the opportunity to provide your
address for delivery of the artwork. On completion you'll
receive (by email) a receipt for your purchase, which will
include the artist's contact details. At the same time, the
artist will be informed of the sale and will receive the delivery

of your order.

What
happens if I need to return my purchase?
We
believe you'll be even more delighted with your art purchase
in person. But in the rare event that you need to return it,
the Purchasing Info section in each artist's gallery will
also give you details of the artist's own returns policy.
We
advise all our artists that UK Distance Selling Regulations
require a minimum 7 working day returns-policy.
The
distance selling money-back guarantee in most cases will require
that the artwork be returned in the same condition it was
received and that the buyer must pay for the return postage
(and packing if applicable). P&P costs are usually not
refundable.
As
all artists at ZeroOneArt sell their art commission-free &
independently to ZeroOneArt, we are not involved in sales.
Therefore please see individual artists' Purchasing Info sections
(under the shopping cart icon) for full details of the artists'
own individual sales procedures and returns-policies.
If
you do have a problem after receiving artwork please do not
delay in contacting the artist.
Please
note that work specially commissioned as a one-off may not
be covered by the same regulations.

I've
bought from the artist... Can I leave some feedback?
Please
do! Even though our artists operate independently to us when
it comes to sales, it's essential that we know about sales
and the quality of service you have received.
Your
much appreciated feedback will help these artists further,
by providing other art lovers with essential info that can
help us build on the trust & respect that is fast growing
within our online community!
Each
gallery has its own feedback and reviews section, please use
the provided form to send us your feedback, reviews or critiques.

Who
can join ZeroOneArt?
We
promote the work of any artist who wants to get their art
online. Many of which have never tried to sell their work
before, many who just create their art as a 'hobby' and would
like to take the next step.
We'd
like to make you feel that next step is not so much of a big
step and that: it is possible for you to sell your
art.
Many
artists we've helped here had never sold online before joining.
And for some they'd never sold internationally before joining.
Some
are already selling and wish to get themselves further exposure
online.
Our
aim is to get your work seen and sold, while keeping your
marketing costs as low as possible.
We're
here to promote all artists: new, emerging or even established.

Can
I display more than 6 images?
With
the emphasis on quality rather than quantity; we have a slightly
different approach in that we want you to carefully select
your display. This type of gallery is focused around promoting
your art, and offers you a chance to choose and produce a
gallery exhibition that allows visitors to get to know your
art... and give them a reason to return...
Your
gallery can of course be updated with new work whenever you
feel the need.
By
simple use of our Image Update service you
can update your display, and at the same time, give yourself
extra exposure by being moved back to the top of the updated
galleries list. You'll also get listed in our next New Art
Newsletter (subscribe?).
Our
philosophy? No one wants a store that gets stale... choose
your display and develop it over time... keep your visitors
keen!

Can
my displayed images be copied?
As
is the nature of this medium you will know that it is impossible
to stop such activity. At ZeroOneArt we have taken small steps
to deter from the copying of images displayed by
our members.
We
do of course display the copyright information with your work
and we have disabled the use of right-clicking on your pictures.
But
the best way to deal with this is by our members sending their
images in a format that cannot be reproduced on paper at the
original quality.
The
way this is done is by asking members to provide their work
at 72 dpi in JPG format. This format is quick to load over
the internet and also means that it is acceptable to the eye
when viewed on a monitor - however it cannot be reproduced
at the original quality on paper.
As
an additional security measure we can add your name and a
copyright symbol 'watermarked' over the image.

What
is ZeroOneArt doing to promote the artists?
The
ZeroOneArt site itself revolves around an active promotional
system. Our New Art pages are dynamic and change daily, influenced
by new artists to the site as well as current members updating
their galleries with new work.
Our
purpose as a web site is to promote the talent
of new and emerging artists from around the world. We invest
a large percentage of membership fees back into the site,
and therefore the promotion of all our resident
artists at ZeroOneArt.
Because
of our determination to promote the members of ZeroOneArt,
our targeted visitors are people who are looking to view and
buy quality, original artwork by new and emerging artists.
We are listed under major search engines including of course
the world's most popular search engine, Google.
We
have, in particular, worked on being found under popular searches
for art.
We
can be found, listed on the first page of results at Google,
via the following popular search terms:
new
artists
new art
affordable art
original art
emerging artists
buy art
As well as these great organic listings and others, we use
Google AdWords to appear in their sponsored listings under
even more art-related keywords.
We
also ensure our growing number of newsletter subscribers know
about any new artists joining, and new art being displayed
in our galleries.
We
encourage visitors to share our pages in bookmark and social
networking sites. And we welcome reviews and feedback in each
artist's gallery to help encourage further sales.
