Texture is always the priority. Some of the pieces are more technically complex, some are more random (more fun). Andy sometimes brings lots of colour to his work but some of his best pieces are where one colour is used to accentuate the texture allowing the light to do the hard-work.

My artwork often evolves without any thought. I just pick a few colours and swirl them around and this is the result. My abstract pieces are mainly wet in wet technique with a few splatters here and there and I often get happy accidents, I pour the paint off and get great results, as in the ethereal river painting.
