Artist of the Month - February 2007
Sarah
Kentsch - UK
It's
been 5 years since I gained a BA (Honours) In Illustration
at Falmouth College of Arts. My love for using colour and
texture projected through landscapes
and architecture is still my passion. I'm looking forward
to the ever changing seasons to steer my inspiration.

| Claire
Kiernan - England
Having
graduated with an animation degree, I decided to capture
my characters onto canvas rather than on screen.
I like to capture a sense of passion and freedom in all
my paintings but most of all I like making art
that is fun and makes people smile.

Eve
Knowles - UK
My paintings
in watercolours,
pastel, acrylic and oil reflect my love of animals, the
natural world and ancient sites. I often paint out of
doors during the better months of the year. I have successfully
taken part in Somerset Art Weeks since 2004, and exhibit
with several local organisations, including at a local co-operative
gallery for nearly two years.

Lakshmi
- UK
Often,
my paintings
express a strong influence of the rich and colourful lifestyles,
traditions and stories of India. But my style is quite
different when painting still life in oils, which will be
added to my gallery in the near future.

Artist of the Month - August 2009
Barbara Le Moigne - UK
"I
have always had a fascination with human behaviour and emotion.
I suppose that is why most of my work reflects what I perceive
when I look at a person, an event or a situation. When I
observe a subject I try to absorb the essence
of their being, seeing inside their consciousness, ignoring
the physical body."

C. Mackenzie - UK
I have
been painting for several years in acrylics. I have tryed
other mediums, but acrylics have that contrast and vibrancy
that I prefer. Living most of my life around Epping Forest
in Essex, forest
scenes, trees, misty, moody, and atmospheric views around
the forest have played an important theme and have influenced
my love of art.

Claire
Miller - UK
Having
no formal training in art other than through schooling years,
I have over time allowed myself to explore different cultures
using varying styles and colour themes – The common
theme throughout has been the importance placed on communicating
the ‘soul’.

Heather
Miller - UK
I work
in both acrylics and oils and choose my medium depending
on what I believe will suit the subject rather than favouring
either, which both have excellent but distinct qualities.
My
art is original and contemporary and would work well
in a contemporary home, office or other setting.

Marie Kavanagh Milwain - Scotland
Creativity
through music, painting, poetry and song has always been
a source of peace and tranquillity in my life. As a busy
teacher of religion, wife, mother, niece and friend I need
a place peace in my life. Prayer, through art is that place.

I hail
from the West Yorkshire region and I have recently developed
a passion for classy
contemporary art. My artwork is very unique and very
original, because I mostly use a combination of texture
and metal leaf.

- UK
I am
a self taught Artist and have had over ten years of experience
with painting and learning how to paint. I did eventually
do a Foundation ART course at UWIC university, as a tool
for learning a broader spectrum of the art world but also
as a stepping stone course to Architecture, which i am doing
now. i am in year 4 of the supposed seven, and decided what
better life to have than to paint at the end of a day where
i have immersed myself in spatial, and Architectural design!!

Diane
Lefroy - Canada
Diane Lefroy's abstract painting is bold and lyrical, full
of energy and life. The color, tone, and rhythm of the work
gives it the quality of a poem or song . Diane hopes that
each painting communicates a quality of mystery that allows
new discoveries to emerge with each viewing.
