I have
been creating art since I was old enough to hold a paintbrush.
I paint mostly for pleasure and relaxation but have also
done some commissioned work. I like to experiment with a
variety of media and styles and I am always keen to
try out new techniques.

Granshaw - UK
I draw
much of my inspiration from spirituality, music, dance,
nature, love and anything that evokes a positive emotion
within me. I love vibrant
colour and the healing effect it can have on the human
spirit.

Griggs - UK
Inspired
by natures light, and keeping my art very tonal, I strive
every day to create paintings that are easy on the eye,
whilst hopefully still having that 'Wow' factor.

Maryse
Hahad - United Kingdom
I am
a new artist, originated from France and I live in the South
west of England for a long time now. I started to draw less
than a year ago, I have never learnt to draw. I draw by
impulses and I enjoy it- I paint every style but I prefer
the abstract
one with life in the colors.

Richard
Halford - Spain
I consider
all my abstracts to be self-portraits. I would like those
looking at a painting of mine to feel somehow better, to
feel the stillness
and peace that lies just beneath the surface of everyday
existence.

Carrie
Harvey - UK
I paint
when I am inspired
by strong emotion. A tutor at the Slade once described
my work as evocative of Chaim Soutine - the twentieth century
artist. Having learned my trade through years of painting
intense watercolour minatures of flowers, I use mainly oils
and charcoal. My work has been exhibited and sold successfully
in London and beyond for over five years.

mainly work in acrylics and oil pastels on canvas, but I'm
also interested in textile art. I produce pieces made from
vintage fabrics and buttons.
My subjects are quite varied, covering still
life, abstract, figures and landscapes.

Teresa
Hodges - UK
I
now live in Hampshire, where the countryside
is a constant source of inspiration to me. In some of
my paintings I try to show the natural patterns and colours
to be found in the natural landscape, while others show
aspects of country life.

Artist of the Month - January 2008
Neil Howson - UK
In
the last year I have exhibited in York, Keighley and Saltaire,
and sold commissions and an assortment of pieces in shops,
exhibitions and on the net. My aim now is to continue my
progress and refine my talent so that I can break through
the international market and make my art my life, rather
than a background hobby.

Jenifer
Hurlock - UK
I look
around me and marvel at the colours, textures and shapes
that are visible to the naked eye. I recently returned to
painting and my latest inspiration I found outside my back
door. I have captured
the beauty of my garden on canvas to enjoy throughout
the year.

Nigel
Ireland - England
Art
and painting has evolved as part of my career through a
mixed route of carpentry, engineering and interiors. Naturally
inquisitive, I am self-taught. Most of my inspiration comes
from the thrill of exploring
new techniques and building on what I describe as 'happy
accidents'.

Katharine
Jones - UK
My style
is monochromatic
and abstract. I work predominantly with ink but also
employ other media such as acrylics and watercolours. I
love fashioning the colours black and white into shapes
and sketches which eventually form a complete narrative
on the page before me. My sketches come in all shapes and
sizes, ranging from a few centimetres to a few metres.
