Elaine
Davis - Scotland
I
live in a small village in the heart of Ayrshire on the
west coast of Scotland. I work mainly in acrylics on canvas
and use the Scottish
countryside as my inspiration. I also like working in
graphite where I take my inspiration from an analytical
perspective of nature.

Katie
Daw - UK
I
am inspired by all that surrounds me, from the beauty of
nature to the practicality of man-made objects. It is not
however, the actual scene or object that fascinates me but
rather the elements
and contours that form them. There is so much detail
that is overlooked everyday and it’s the magnification
of our surroundings that interests me.

Jean G Dayton - UK
Working
mainly in acrylics and oils my collection of art designs
will compliment any modern interior. I gain my inspiration
from nature and its beautiful and varied colours; living
in the New Forest and close to the coast I am surrounded
by astounding natural beauty. I see beauty, feel the emotion
and transpose that feeling through colour onto canvas.

Jeanie
Dee - UK
I enjoy
making images
that arouse my curiosity, that suggest hidden plots and
compel me to wonder what happens next. I try to use
my camera to create two groups of images; one group that
comes from my imagination and one that inspires my imagination.

My
inspiration comes from the natural elements and I am particularly
attracted to water
and air as subjects. I aim to express the calm power
of the natural world and produce a relaxed contemplative

Lucy
Dunnett - UK
I rarely
leave the house without a camera in my pocket, and my paintings
are inspired by photos taken on my travels. I like to
challenge myself to capture an image which someone may otherwise
not get to see – it could be something very small,
an image taken on a long exposure, something framed unusually
or even a full 360 degree view!

Chris
Elsden - UK
I was
educated in Devon and then moved to Singapore in the early
60's returning to the UK to attend art school. I now spend
much of my time travelling seeking out subjects to paint.
Most of my
work is in oils and I rarely use a brush preferring the
effects that the palette knife offers.

Vince
Entwistle - United Kingdom
His
current style has been established with the experimentation
of strong abundant colour and by complete contrast the mystery
of virtual monotone. The contrast of light and shade
influence his finished work and leave you immersed in fantasy.

Marie
Evans - England
The
majority of my work is based around the way that adults
extend their childhood fantasies/fiction into adulthood.
I have gone back to the texts of my childhood and read them
with an adult eye, shattering the myths that I have held.
I have also uncovered the ‘hidden’ religious
aspects to many of the tales and have created works in response
to these stories.

Elise
Ferguson - UK
Elise’s
paintings are vivid representations of the countryside,
celebrating
blue skies, bright seas and colourful flowers. Living
and working in Dunblane, she takes advantage of her central
location to travel to the western isles, Fife and north
of Scotland to seek out inspiration for new paintings.

Hannah
Forster - UK
When
painting
creatures, I always try to imagine what their character
is like – somehow this dictates how I paint them.
So they may look completely different from the original
sketch or photo, but that’s how I prefer it. Other
creatures, for example, dragons, come straight from my imagination.
I love having this freedom to explore.
